You usually have to pay the full COD amount before you open the parcel. The rider only delivers it and does not work for the shop.

3. Receipt and proof of delivery

When you pay, you sign for the parcel. Keep the label on the flyer, as it shows your CN number.

4. Packaging Inspection Rights

You cannot open the flyer before paying, but you can look at the outside. If it is torn, re-taped or crushed, you can refuse it.

Protect Yourself: Film the Unboxing

Riders cannot wait while you test a phone or try on clothes, so it is a good idea to film yourself opening the parcel in one video:

Step 1: Before opening, show the label with your CN number, the sender’s name and the unbroken tape on camera.
Step 2: Without stopping the video, cut open the flyer and take out the item.
Step 3: Check the item for damage, the wrong size or missing parts.

If the seller sent the wrong or a broken item, this video is strong proof when you ask the seller, or a consumer court, for a return or refund.

COD Fee Calculation Structure

A COD booking usually has two parts: the normal delivery charge, based on weight and distance, and a fee for collecting the cash. The fee depends on your agreement with Leopards, so ask Leopards for your rates.

Return-to-Origin (RTO) Cost Impact

If a buyer refuses the order or does not answer the rider, the parcel is sent back. Depending on your agreement, you may still pay the delivery charge and possibly a return fee. Calling buyers to confirm orders before sending helps keep returns low.

Payments to your bank

Cash collected from buyers is paid into your bank account on the schedule in your agreement.

COD means paying cash. We could not confirm any official digital payment option at the door, so do not send money to a rider’s personal account. Keep the exact cash ready, and ask the seller if you want to pay another way.

What if the parcel has a fake item or a stone inside?

The rider cannot give money back once you have paid. Contact the seller straight away with your unboxing video. Also report it to Leopards on (021) 111-300-786, as Leopards asks for problems to be reported within 24 hours of finding them.

Does COD cost more than paying in advance?

Usually, yes. Couriers charge sellers a fee for collecting and handling the cash. The amount depends on the seller’s agreement with the courier.
