Leopards Tracking Not Updating? Reasons & Solutions

Published: 2026-09-06• Last reviewed: 2026-09-19

Quick Answer

Tracking pauses while a parcel is on the road between hubs, while it waits for its first scan after the label is made, or over Sundays and holidays. Leopards has not said how long a pause should last before you worry, so match your case to the reasons below, and call the helpline if none of them fits.

Why Does Tracking Stop Updating?

It is stressful to check your tracking again and again and see the same status every time. Your parcel might say “Booked” for hours or stay on “In Transit” with no new scan. Knowing how tracking works makes it less worrying.

Courier tracking is not a live map of the truck. Instead, updates are event-driven milestone scans. A new time is added only when someone, or a machine, scans your parcel’s barcode. If your parcel is inside a sealed truck on the road between Karachi and Lahore, it will not be scanned until the truck arrives.

Common reasons

5 Common Reasons Leopards Tracking Stops

If your Leopards CN number has not changed for a while, one of these is almost always the reason:

1. The label is made before the parcel is collected

When an online shop (such as Daraz or a local brand) sends your order, its system makes a CN number straight away and sends you an SMS. But the parcel may still be in the shop’s warehouse, waiting for Leopards to collect it. Tracking will say “Not Found” or “Booked” until Leopards scans the parcel for the first time.

2. Long trips between cities

Karachi to Islamabad is well over 1,000 km. Trucks travel a long way without stopping, and parcels inside are packed in sealed bags, so they are not scanned on the way. A long gap in tracking on long routes is normal, not a sign that something is wrong.

3. Sundays and public holidays

Leopards branches and riders work Monday to Saturday. If your parcel reaches your city late on Saturday, tracking may not change until Monday, when the parcel is sorted for delivery.

4. Winter fog in Punjab

In winter, thick fog and smog can lead the motorway police to close motorways at night. Trucks then have to take slower roads or wait, which adds delay without any new scans.

5. A barcode that cannot be read

Sometimes a label gets faded, wet or scratched. If a scanner cannot read it, staff have to type the number in by hand, which can cause a short delay in tracking.

Match Your Status to the Reason

Leopards has not published how long a gap is normal, so we will not guess a number of hours. Instead, look at what your tracking shows:

It says “Booked” or “Not Found”

The shop has not handed the parcel over yet, or it has not been scanned. This is normal. Check with the seller before you worry.

Status Reads "In Transit"

The parcel is on the road between cities. The next update comes when it reaches your city, not on the way.

Stuck much longer than usual

If the gap is clearly longer than a similar trip normally takes, call (021) 111-300-786 and ask Leopards to trace it.

What to Do When Tracking Is Stuck

If your tracking has not changed for longer than expected, follow these steps:

Step 1: Check the CN number

Make sure you did not mix up “0” and “O”, or type the shop’s order number (such as #48291) instead of the Leopards CN number (such as SP7503119225).

Step 2: Ask the seller if the parcel was handed over

If it has said “Booked” for a long time, contact the online shop. Some sellers make labels days before the parcel is packed.

Step 3: Call the Leopards helpline

Dial (021) 111-300-786 with your CN number. The agent can check where the parcel is in Leopards’ own system.

When Our Tracker Has a Problem

Sometimes the problem is technical rather than with the parcel:

Occasional Upstream Connection Errors

Our tracker gets its data from Leopards. Now and then a search may time out or fail to get the latest status. If that happens, wait a few minutes and try again. It does not mean anything has happened to your parcel.

Saved vs fresh results

Every result on this site shows a “Last checked” time, and the Refresh button runs a new search. If your result looks unchanged, check that time and press Refresh.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does tracking say “Record Not Found” after I got a shipping SMS?

Usually the shop has printed the label but not handed the parcel to Leopards yet. Once Leopards collects and scans it, the record will appear.

Can my parcel still arrive if tracking has not updated?

Yes. Sometimes scans are added late, and a parcel reaches you before the tracking catches up.
