Leopards Tracking Status Meanings: All 13 Explained
Quick Answer
Leopards tracking statuses tell you where your parcel is on its trip. The usual steps are Booked, Picked Up, In Transit, Arrived at Destination, Out for Delivery and Delivered. Some statuses need your attention, such as Delivery Pending, On Hold and Returned to Shipper.
Why it helps to know what each status means
The scan messages inside a courier’s system can be hard to understand. They may say things like “Manifest Generated”, “Runsheet Debriefed”, “Bag Received at Hub” or “Consignment Staged”.
To make this easier, our tracker turns those scan messages into 13 standardized canonical milestones. When you know what a status means and what to do about it, you can stop a delivery from failing and get your parcel sooner.
What Each Leopards Tracking Status Means
Here is what each status means, what is happening to your parcel, and what you should do:
1. BOOKED / Details received
What it means: A shop or sender has booked the parcel with Leopards and a CN number has been made. Leopards does not have the parcel yet.
Action required: Nothing yet. The sender still has to hand the parcel to Leopards. If it stays on Booked for several days, ask the sender.
2. PICKED UP / Received at branch
What it means: A Leopards rider has collected the parcel, or the sender has handed it in at an Express Centre. It is now with Leopards.
Action required: Tracking is now working. The next scan will come when the parcel reaches a sorting hub.
3. ARRIVED AT ORIGIN FACILITY / Sorting
What it means: The parcel has reached the main sorting hub in the sender’s city. It is weighed, checked and packed with other parcels going the same way.
Action required: The parcel is being made ready to leave for your city.
4. IN TRANSIT / On the way
What it means: The parcel is moving between cities, by air or by road.
Action required: It is not scanned while it is on the road, so a long pause is normal on long routes. It does not mean something is wrong.
5. ARRIVED AT DESTINATION FACILITY / In your city
What it means: The parcel has reached the Leopards hub in your city. It is being sorted and sent to the branch that covers your area.
Action required: Delivery should be close. Make sure your phone number is working.
6. OUT FOR DELIVERY / With the rider
What it means: A rider has your parcel on today’s delivery list and will try to bring it to your door today.
Action required: Stay at the address if you can, keep your phone on and have the exact COD cash ready if you need to pay.
7. DELIVERED / Handed over
What it means: The parcel has been handed over and signed for, and any COD has been paid.
Action required: If it says delivered but you do not have it, ask family, neighbours or the building guard first. Then contact Leopards.
8. DELIVERY PENDING / Will try again
What it means: The rider could not deliver today, for example because of traffic, the time of day or an office that had closed. The parcel has gone back to the branch.
Action required: Leopards will usually try again. Keep your phone on, and call Leopards if nothing happens by the next working day.
9. ON HOLD / You need to act
What it means: The rider tried to deliver but could not, because the phone was off, the address had no house or street number, or you asked for a later date.
Action required: Call Leopards on (021) 111-300-786 soon. Give them a landmark, or ask to collect the parcel from the branch, before it is sent back.
10. EXCEPTION / Operational Disruption
What it means: Something outside Leopards’ control has slowed the parcel down, such as bad weather, fog on the motorway, a road closure or damaged packaging.
Action required: Keep checking. If the status does not change for a couple of days, contact Leopards.
11. CANCELLED / Booking Voided
What it means: The booking was cancelled before the parcel left the sender. This usually happens when a shop cancels an order before Leopards collects it.
Action required: Ask the shop whether the order was cancelled or will be booked again.
12. RETURN IN TRANSIT / Going back
What it means: The parcel could not be delivered, or it was refused, so it is now going back to the sender.
Action required: Contact the seller. Ask if they can send it again once it is back with them.
13. RETURNED TO SHIPPER (RTS) / Back with the sender
What it means: The parcel is back with the sender. This is the last status for this booking.
Action required: If you still want the item, ask the seller to send it again, and give them your full address.
How to Stop Your Leopards Parcel Being Returned
Many parcels are sent back because the rider could not reach the buyer. Follow these four tips to avoid it:
Tip 1: Answer calls from unknown numbers
Riders often call from numbers you do not know when they are close. If you ignore the call, the delivery may fail.
Tip 2: Add a landmark to your address
Street numbers can be hard to find. Add a nearby mosque, school, market or plaza to your address.
Tip 3: Have the COD cash ready
Riders have many stops, so they may not be able to wait while you find the money.
Tip 4: Ask for a branch hold
If you will be out, call (021) 111-300-786 and ask Leopards to hold the parcel at the branch so you can collect it.
